Train:

Eurostar connects with the TGV in Paris which then takes you to Agen and Toulouse. Car hire is available at or near either station (but should be arranged prior to travel).

From other European cities, fast connections can also be made, for example from Madrid, Amsterdam, Berlin and Brussels.

Airports:

Three main airports serve the area:

Toulouse and Bordeaux:– flights from European cities via major carriers

Bergerac: – principally budget airlines

Car:

There are several routes to cross the Channel. This includes the Channel Tunnel and Dover -– Calais ferries for those who prefer to drive down to this area. Other routes include, Plymouth - Roskoff, Portsmouth - Cherbourg/Caen/St Malo, Poole - Cherbourg These all connect quickly to the French Autoroute system for a faster journey. Travel times vary from 6 to 10 hours depending on port of entry, traffic, time of travel etc. Refer to P&O, DFDS or Brittany Ferries for ferry crossings.

French motorways are good and the service areas, although smaller than British ones, offer good service. However, you may have to pay tolls, le peage; these vary across the autoroute system and with the time of year.
